Get up and running with Enter Code in 5 minutes.

Prerequisites

• Node.js 18 or later
• macOS or Linux; Windows coming soon
• An Enter account

Step 1: Install

npm install -g @enter-pro/enter-code
enter --version

Step 2: Log in

enter --login

The browser opens automatically for authentication.

Step 3: Start a session

cd your-project
enter

Step 4: Explore your codebase

Explain how this project is structured

Start with questions before asking Enter Code to change files.

Step 5: Make your first change

Add JWT auth to this Express app

Enter Code reads relevant files, asks for approval before modifications, edits files, and runs tests when available.

Step 6: Use Rewind if needed

Use /rewind to review checkpoints and roll back.

Step 7: Resume later

enter --resume <session-id>

Tips

• Use Plan Mode for risky changes.
• Be specific in prompts.
• Use ↑ / ↓ to navigate input history.
• Press Tab to accept AI suggestions.
